To be in GSOC we need an ideas list and mentors. Right now there is an active discussion on how to maintain this project (see #194), so it's premature to say that we will be involved in GSOC. According too the GSOC timeline we have about a month to get the maintenance discussion closed if we want to start building the ideas lists. |

Because the Cookbook is not a software repository, I'm pretty sure it would not be eligible for participation in GSoC. To clarify, historically NumFOCUS participates in GSoC as an umbrella org, meaning that it manages proposals submitted by the NumFOCUS Sponsored/Affiliated projects. |

There is precedence for GSOC funding integration of technology into curricular projects (see https://summerofcode.withgoogle.com/archive/2024/projects/hrVyhpsG). This repository has software to build and host the content. It also could expand scope to build translation tools for the content and perhaps even build plugins for pretalx which is the main software used by NumFOCUS for hosting conferences. |

This Cookbook can be a very meaningful project for Gsoc, I'm really enjoying doing it.
I just wanted to ask, in future, can this project be considered in Gsoc 2025?
