When the mouse pointer is hovered over either of the first two items, "places" and "music", the menu is only highlighted/selected when the pointer is on the lower half of the word. Here's the pointer on the top part of "places" but it's not been selected:
By contrast, on any of the menu items after the first two the menu is selected over the full vertical range of the menu entry. Here, for example, at the top of "tech":
I've tried removing the music icon but it didn't solve the problem.
