I like compact UI with smaller elements for eyes keeping, so at older laptop (<2K display) Notes window looks a bit large and I can't do anything with it.

Latest Notes Portable release, Win x64

I'm not sure if I see a problem. But btw, you can try a native window view by clicking on the gear icon and then selecting View -> Native window. That might improve your experience.

The point is that I can't reduce font and icon size at other columns and menu. I can choose only font size in text editor

Window frame doesn't matter.
