I've installed version 3.0. I like its possibilities of customization to be adapted of a variety of users, though this version doesn't include the ability to reset values to defaults, which maybe useful.
Unfortunately, I haven't found a version compatible with NVDA 2024.1beta7, and I think that this should be available in the beta channel to promote this add-on, ensuring that it has been tested by the author so that users of NVDA beta versions feel more comfortable installing a compatible version, without overriding compatibility. Also, documentation reflects that this add-on is compatible with NVDA 2022.3.3 and beyond, but this is not an accurate claim. Thanks @CyrilleB79

I do not plan to add a button to reset to default values, since I do not feel it is specifically needed in this add-on. If it's a need for settings dialogs / panels in general, I'd prefer this to be implemented at NVDA level and follow with the add-on if needed.

Regarding the need of a beta version, I can understand it. But I do not wish to spend my time making releases in different channels for all my add-ons; my strategy is rather to integrate needed changes in the stable channel when they are needed so that people who want to test can override compatibility. I agree that it is less clear for users but it's less work for me!

At last, for the issue regarding compatibility range, feel free to open a GitHub issue in the add-on's repository or send me an e-mail to describe what does not work; I have not been able to see any issue with NVDA 2022.3.3. Thanks.

I've created an issue about the possibility of ommiting the compatibility range in the documentation at CyrilleB79/charInfo#12

I prefer my strategies, but this is not critical, it's just that for me the expression beyond is not very exact, so I prefer to ommit it, considering that I don't recommend downloading add-ons from external links if they can be downloaded from the store,since NVDA checks their integrity and in the store we can know ifan add-on is compatible, and overriding incompatibility.
