Laura said it best if I tag you through a discussion on the community page. I'm looking to start helping again, as I have some free days every other week.

Laura mentioned ''Django, and Python backend, with frontend is Javascript/React'' as potential areas to help with.

Let me know your thoughts, as I am leaning new code and programming all the time.

You are more than welcome to help out again! Github issues that are labelled "volunteers" are issues that we have detailed and that we think are good tasks for volunteers to pick up. I recommend you look at this repo or our Rapid Router repo which has a few more volunteer tasks available. Feel free to carry on working on the task you had started working on if you'd like, or try out another task if you'd like!

Feel free to @ me on any of those issues if you have any questions that are specific to the task.

Hi @shahid-25-khalid, you can found our docs here which will guide you on how to get setup, install and run the Django project which you can do using VS Code.

It seems like you can use the Pull Requests and Issues extension for VS Code which should enable you to view issues from your IDE.

Hope you're well? I have been going over the different Python introduction pages you mentioned. Everything so far seems fine.
I will continue this and then start to look at the different pull requests and projects.

Is there much software testing work available also? I do this mostly in Python, SQL, and R, but happy to learn other languages and systems.

I have more time also to help out, so that should be useful.

I'm well thanks, hope you are too! Glad to hear that the introductory material made sense.

The task that you have asked about recently, related to the superfluous Python commands would be a good example of a task that would require some testing to ensure the new functionality you would implement is covered 🙂
