Feature request

We have a statement that our DCMI metadata should include an identifier which is a universally unique ID (without actually specifying that it's a uuid according to https://www.iso.org/standard/62795.html).

We need further discussion around whether this is the correct approach.

Current state

Please describe what you're doing presently to work around this or achieve what you're doing.
