Been a fan for a while but it now triggers an error: "QLFits3.qlgenerator” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software"
Previously installed manually via binary but tried brew install with same result.

Actually just needed to do this: https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/apple-cant-check-app-for-malicious-software-mchleab3a043/mac

Leaving it here in case it's useful for someone!

For someone who remains perplexed by this warning message, this website summarizes four approaches. With my experience Method 1, i.e. a right-clicking, usually solves the issue of APP opening.
