one more breaking change:
client_request_hook now takes (span, scope, message), instead of just (span, scope)

Which instrumentation are you referring?

Based on the PR (#2546), it affects asgi, starlette, and fastapi. (It also affects the send hook, which I forgot to mention.) It can probably be made backwards-compatible using inspect.signature but I'm not sure you want a hack like that in your codebase haha

It's fine really, the patch on my end was easy enough. Just thought it would be good to note somewhere on the list of breaking changes for this release.
