Description

The .github/workflows/extract-translation-source-files.yml workflow file now has a rather complicated bash script within.

We should aim for a couple of options:

  • Simplify the process and remove the bulk of bash scripts.
  • Extract into Python (or bash) scripts.
  • Split into multiple steps.

This issue has become apparent after the work on the following PRs:
