@Sharafudeen Oqtane does not contain a URL shortener - so I am not sure what you are referring to. |

@sbwalker @mdmontesinos While creating or editing a page in Page Management, I want to specify an external URL in the URL path. Is there a way in Oqtane or any mechanism to shorten my URL since my external URL is too long?

The Url Path field you highlighted above is only for internal Url paths ie. it defines the hierarchical Url structure of where the current page is located in the site. The Redirect field below it is intended for arbitrary Urls ie. if you want a navigation menu item to redirect to a Url which is different than the internal Url Path. The Redirect field currently has a maximum length of 500 - perhaps this will satisfy your needs. It probably should have a max length of 2048 (as this is the max length for Urls) but this would require an enhancement. |

@sbwalker Can the redirect URL include an input button group, where clicking a button shortens a specified URL? That would be a great feature! |

The Redirect Url is simply a property in the Page class - it cannot contain any UI behavior. |

@Sharafudeen I believe you are refering to URL Mappings, which could be kind of used as url shorteners but only for internal Oqtane pages, not external URLs. |
