The Octavo expects to see 5V on the USB1_VBUS pin after it determines that the port is in host mode. The right way to do this would be a switch controlled by USB1_DRVVBUS connecting 5V to USB1_VBUS, but we did find that it also works if you directly connect 5V to the pin.
One of these fixes should be implemented so that the USB hub will work.
