Segmentation fault using the validator app

When running the validator app from the signed video framework with videos my camera produces, the app fails to validate the file and gives me an error (see screenshot): Segmentation fault (core dumped). My files are .mkv as supposed to .mp4 like the test files but this shouldn't make a difference. The app works fine on the test data even if I convert the files to .mkv. I can view my files with no issue and they have the correct public key in the metadata. I've tested signing unsigned footage with the signer app and validated the videos with no issue. Is it possible there's something wrong with my camera?

I'm using the AXIS P3265-LVE camera to create these videos with Ubuntu 22.04 to build and run the app.

I am not an expert here on the signed-video-framework but I think you may need to sign the mp4 video first?

Thanks for the response. The camera should automatically do this. I've checked the file and there's a public key in it so it must be signed. If the video isn't signed, the output will say the video is unsigned. I've opened a bug in the signed-video-framework-examples github but the developers have yet to get back to me

If you want to just verify the video from camera then use AxisFilePlayer.exe

Hi, there is a difference between digital file signature and signed video. This link describes this. The Axis file player unfortunately doesn't verify my videos, I believe I have to use the signed-video-framework. Thank you for the reference about the AXIS Media Control SDK. That does look useful but it won't verify signed video for me.

Interesting, I turned on Signed video through the web interface of my camera. Is that network URL using the username and password for the camera? I'll try this method as soon as I can, thanks!

Yes, I am using the RTSP URL with "videosigned=1"
