Insufficient storage for application installation

Hi,

We're trying to install our ACAP application on an Axis device, and it seems there is not enough storage for our application to be installed. To be specific, there is available storage on other directories, but the allocated storage space for the default location where ACAP applications are installed (/usr/local/) is initially small, as shown in the image below.

We have two questions:

1. Is it possible to allocate more memory under /usr/local/?
2. I came across a post which mentioned about a beta API to write on SD cards to install applications. Is this available now? And can it be a solution to our situation?

Alternative:

You would need to create a solution if you would like to upload larger files. (monkey web server example for instance):

You can combine with the axstorage APIs to store the models file or large files on an SD card:

The two alternatives seem to be solutions to the case where an ACAP application needs to write additional files to the device, after it starts running.
In our case, we cannot install our application because there is not enough storage under the default installation path ( /usr/local/packages/).

It looks like the API is in Beta. I am adding the test that I performed with the AXIS Q1715 Block Camera (AXIS OS version 11.11.73) but try to get the updated document from [email protected] for the new Axis OS releases. Starting with AxOS 10.12, it is possible to install ACAP applications on the SD card.

Only "sd_card1" is supported right now, apart from the default which is "internal".
New error codes related to this functionality are:
• 33. Invalid installation location
• 34. Application cannot be installed on location
Installing on the SD card can also be done using the acapctl command in the device. See "acapctl
install -- help" for instructions.
