Notes/Subtrees, Copies and Clones, and their context menus

Hi,
I've always been confused by the "Copy/Clone" menu.

• There is only one menu for "Clone/Copy", but:
  • no real "Paste copy" (the only option is to paste the entire subtree copy, using "Advanced ⇒ Duplicate Subtree", which does not require preliminary "Copy")
  • one "Paste..." option that is actually always cloning
• No way to just perform "Ctrl+C" + "Ctrl+V" to duplicate a note in the same branch
  • I guess, again, "Duplicate Subtree" does the trick, but is hidden in the context menu.

I guess I'm probably missing the point, or the use case it was designed for.

Can someone explain it to me?

I'm often making quick tests on templates, and duplicating them is quite useful.
But then, sometimes, It messes up everything because I'm modifying a clone and not a copy of a template, which affects all the notes implementing this template too 😵‍💫

Now: duplicateSubtree can be assigned a keyboard shortcut under options. Ctrl-Alt-V might be a reasonable setting, as it's semanticly close to Paste's ctrl-v.

Future: For a UX improvement maybe rename the command to simply 'Duplicate' and move it out of context menu? This is consistent: Copy is simply copy and not copySubtree even though it does copy the branch and not just the note.
