Nerak was once a renowned sorcerer of the Theban Empire. He was one of the greatest alchemists this world has ever known but unfortunately was betrayed by the former king. Despite the betrayal, the king admired Nerak's work and decided to bury his bones deep in the crypt. After the catastrophe of the ancient Thebes #553, the new king decided to move the capital to a more secure location to avoid another disaster. A team was dedicated to moving the sacred bones in the crypt and moved all the tombs to honor the ancestors. Unfortunately, while moving the tomb of Nerak, the lid opened and the seal on the lid broke, releasing the curse of Nerak.
The curse was unknown to everyone and so the transfer continued. Years passed and the new city of Thebes was finally finished and life began again in the capital. However, the king was concerned about a problem in the crypts beneath the cathedral. Day after day, the bones disappeared and no one could find them. A search party was also sent out to find out what was going on, but no trace of anything. But one day, the king of Thebes received a message from a skeletal-looking body saying that Nerak had returned and wanted revenge for the betrayal of the nobles.
A team of kingdom guards was sent to thwart his plans but Nerak was far too powerful. The necromancy magic he had developed was too powerfull, his army was far too large for a simple guard. The king, panicking for his kingdom, decided to find the descendant of the god of war Ares and ask him to save his kingdom from the terrible threat.
