Personally, I feel that this is a great opportunity. I have already worked on a couple of feature enhancements, am trying to get involved more in the community, and just became a member of TSC. |

I personally liked AsyncAPI very much and will like to continue to be an active member of the community and contribute to it in every aspect I can. Yepp, it feels sad for the community that we are not selected in GSoC, but yes "We are not done yet". I liked the idea of providing support and mentorship opportunity to the contributors. It is a great initiative by the AsyncAPI and I am with the community. I am also not willing to search for any other organization in GSoC (I liked the environment of AsyncAPI a lot ❤️). Hence, I am available to contribute to the community and looking forward for more opportunities here. |

@fmvilas @derberg I think it's a great opportunity for everyone contributing to AsyncAPI. I have personally contributed to AsyncAPI and love the way things are, if provided the opportunity I would love to be a part of this ❤️. Doesn't matter if we as an organisation are selected in GSOC or not for me it's the work and the community that matter 😊. |

Great initiave!! 👏 I really think this is a great opportunity to create a mentorship program totally adapted to AsyncAPI needs, and not depending on regulations from external organizations. There are many org's who aren't got selected in GSOC 2022, it is far more better to take the initiative instead of waiting and this initiative will also help other similar org's . We will together make this upcoming program great, thanks for coming up with this idea Fran and sharing it with us. |

Hi! I still have questions about how we should handle this issue as it will require both design and development work. I can obviously be a mentor for the design side, but I think @magicmatatjahu and I talked about co-mentoring this project so that we can cover both design and dev. Should we also allow for two mentees on this project? One to cover design and one to cover dev? 🤔 |

I'd say let's see what happens. If we get multiple people interested, we can think of having two people for the same issue. Otherwise, I think it's fine to have two mentors for a single person. In short, I'm fine with both options 😄 |

I guess the criteria are just what each TSC member prefers voting for. Since this is our first year, we're gonna improvise a bit and let things in the hands of the TSC decide which projects and candidates they want to select. The ones that get more votes will be chosen. For sure, we'll do this process transparently so you will be able what each TSC member voted. Any suggestions are also welcome. We're still on time to slightly change things. |

I'm getting to read this for the first time, and I'm glad for joining this community as an applicant for GSoD(Google Season of Docs) which I wasn't accepted by this organization but I have been able to make my first contribution to the modelina website which I fine amazing and intriguing. I love this initiative and would love to know how to be part as a mentee. Hope I'm not late? |

As you may know already, we have been rejected from Google Summer of Code, once again. We're sad about this but want to transform this into a new opportunity. After chatting briefly with @derberg, we thought it would be a good use of our money to put it into something like GSoC but organized by ourselves. Therefore, introducing the Mentorship program draft idea:
Google Summer of Code has been a really good experience for our community last year. Lots of the TSC members are coming from GSoC. Let's not stop here. Google shouldn't decide if we do it again or not 💪
