Approval for a Figma account

A while ago, @mcturco started working on Figma for the design stuff related to AsyncAPI. So far, we've used a Postman account but, since this account is only for Postman employees, we can't share it with other community members. Therefore, I'm asking here that we buy our own Figma account for AsyncAPI under the [email protected] email.

It's hard to guess how much we'll spend on this account since Figma charges per editor, a role that's needed to collaborate on the design files. There's also the option that contributors "copy" the design into their accounts but that would increase the usage of their accounts, forcing them to become paid members themselves. I think the latter is not fair.

Initially, I'd be inviting @mcturco, @akshatnema, and @Mayaleeeee. Making it a total of 4 editors, if I understood correctly. That would mean $576/year for now. We may grow this list in the future without further approval from the TSC.

@asyncapi/tsc_members Please vote yes or no. As usual, I'll leave this here for a week. Also, let me know if you have further questions.

I would add @yashsehgal as an editor as well as he has shown interest in contributing to the design system as well as other design projects

But I just ask ; is it pertinent to pay 4 licences for a year if the contributors only works several days or months on the design system ?

Yeah, probably @fmvilas, you can skip me because I contribute more towards the codebase and don't have much knowledge about UI and UX as well 😅. So, it's better if you go with some other design contributors who dedicatedly want to contribute to the designs in AsyncAPI.

That sounds good, @akshatnema. And yeah, @M3lkior, I don't have a better solution to this, to be honest. Would be great if Figma gave it for free to us but they're not willing to do it 😓

@fmvilas But I have a question, does the person has to take a subscription for Figma to have edit access for AsyncAPI Figma files? Because I faced the same issue when I asked @mcturco regarding this.

AFAIK, you don't have to. @mcturco can confirm though.
