I have SketchUp Make 2017 installed in a bottle, that up until recently had worked just fine. The last time I ran it though, was probably a couple of months ago now. So it may have been broken for those couple of months, or it may have broke a couple of days ago.
When I try and run SketchUp, I get the following error-
Needless to say, my GPU does support a version of OpenGL greater than 3.0 (4.6 I believe).
I've actually had this issue once before a year or two ago. And just like now, it happened after updating my nvidia driver. The SketchUp bottle stopped working... but then a few days later, Bottles updated and SketchUp was back in working order. I figured it was some kind of compatibility issue that the Bottles dev(s) had addressed and thought nothing more of it. I continued to use SketchUp for another year or two.
The fact that the both times the issue happened was after updating my nvidia driver, and that I haven't had the issue when just running a regular
apt update
, may be a coincidence though. What could be causing the installation of SkecthUp to be unable to properly detect the version of OpenGL supported by my GPU?
[EDIT] I should also mention that I have tried creating a new Bottle and making a fresh install of SketchUp but I'm getting the same error message.
