Why use Pix instead of Gthumb?

They are practically the same, except for some different default configurations.

Is it worth maintaining a fork? Why not just use the original project (Gthumb)?

I noticed that the Pix GitHub is full of "issues" and "feature requests" that can only be resolved by the original project.
