The proposal for matching is now in for ratification: https://gov.gitcoin.co/t/discussion-proposal-ratify-the-results-of-gitcoin-s-beta-round-and-formally-request-the-community-multisig-holders-to-payout-matching-allocations/15166 Interestingly they are proposing capping the matching that a project can get (in OSS at 4% of the matching funds). Which means that under the current proposal we are set to receive just shy of $600 in matched funds. Which is a shy higher than I was expecting! |

Proposal: neume-scanWIP DescriptionAn open-source browser front-end that will allow users to search and explore neume. Etherscan for neume. Potentially to replace the current front page on https://neume.network/ , or in addition to it. The browser should be extremely easy to use for non-technical users. It should allow users to search by wallet and ENS addresses. It should also allow users to search by contract (marketplace), and other metadata tags that are available (e.g. genre?). It should provide price data where available. It should not provide playback of the tracks, due to potential licensing concerns. This should be a library of NFTs in neume rather than a streaming service. As a push goal, it should provide analysis where possible, ideally in the form of charts and stats. RationaleAs neume grows there is a need for users and potential users to be able to quick navigate the network and see what data is being indexed. This could be done through a simple, light, front-end explorer application. The inclusion of ENS names as a search parameter would speed up integration of neume into the ENS community and potentially lay the ground for future grant funding from the ENS DAO. Suggested bounty size$1.5k Future additional workAs the network element of neume network starts to be rolled out, the explorer could be expanded to allow for the searching of available data by node. |

Proposal: Optimism strategyWIP DescriptionWrite a crawling strategy for Optimism. Push goal: think about how this will work with Optimism fork chains, such as Zorachain. RationaleAs the NFT market moves increasingly to L2, we should build out a strategy for Optimism. This will ensure that neume is crawling for new music NFTs and future-proof the crawler. Sound.xyz recently announced as part of its latest development that it is offering the facility to mint NFTs on Optimism. Offering this up as bounty provides an opportunity for a developer to understand how neume is working and increase our developer community. Suggested bounty size$800 Future additional workZorachain strategy |

Cool! Whatever has the most impact and is most cost efficient should be the priority imo. |

Proposal: neume-pubDescriptionA small utility that can be collocated with a neume node in order to periodically publish data to Arweave for free via Bundlr. This allows apps to be built on neume without running a node.
RationaleIt is currently not clear how apps are meant to access neume’s data aside from running a node themselves. This project would provide an easier way to access the data by publishing it to Arweave. Ideally the publisher would be collocated with the node currently operated by hifi labs or any future node operated by us. The additional cost should be minimal and the benefit could be massive. This project would allow for something like neume-scan to be built as a simple frontend app on Vercel or similar. Suggested Bounty Size$500+ FutureThis bounty would cover initial development of the neume-pub utility. Additional work may be needed to integrate it into an existing neume deployment, with read access to the nodes database. More apps like the proposed neume-scan and/or riff can be built on the data published by this utility. |

Hi all, starting a thread to discuss how to use the grant funding that we have generated from the recent gitcoin round.
As a reminder, we raised $2039 in DAI, from 73 doners. This will be matched from the central pool, though we should temper our expectation on how much additional funding that'll bring in as some of the projects in the round (defi / social apps) had thousands of supporters. A good result there would be something like an additional $400-$500 (it depends on how many supporters created gitcoin passports to enable matching).
With a conservative estimate putting us at something like $2400, what do we think is the most effective/highest value effort to direct this towards.
My proposal is that we use this thread to collect thoughts over the next couple of weeks and then seek to make a decision on a future open office (target: 8th June).
Update: as per the discussion in the Open Office (13th July), now that we have the gitcoin matching funds we should seek a decision on these bounties, write them up in to individual threads once a decision has been made, and publicise them.
