Types of application that could be built with neume

Starting a thread for us to jam on the types of things that could be built using neume.

With my JUICE hat on, obviously I'm personally really interested in things that are more disruptive than enabling of the music industry status quo.

We actually released a list of ideas as part of our little FRESH experiment:

1. Building new, non-copyright revenues: A combination of new products and experiences built around digital-native rights
   1. Collectibles: Collections designed around a theme related to a release
   2. Comment Rights, e.g., Sound: The right to comment on a song cross-platform
   3. Private/Public Message Rights: The right to send a message to an artist publicly or privately
   4. Post-to-Feed/Feed Takeover Rights: The right to post to an artist’s feed or takeover a social channel for a limited time
   5. Curation/Playlisting Rights: The right to curate an artist’s playlist, the right to curate an artist’s music across platforms
   6. Follow/Notification Rights: The right to receive updates from an artist
   7. Community Role-based Badges: The right to perform a set of activities within a community, e.g., voting, promotion, announcements, hosting, etc.
   8. Cross-platform, Token-gated Content: The right to access private content across multiple platforms
   9. Token-gated Access: The right to access private communities and digital spaces
2. Financial Products
   1. Buyback Tokens: Artists buy back tokens they issue to supporters to raise funds for a project
   2. A&R Funds: Compete directly with the labels to develop talent
   3. Catalog Acquisition Funds: Compete directly with labels and publishers for catalog
   4. Artist Collectives: Multi-disciplinary collectives that issue an ERC20 and cross-sell NFTs, access, collections, artwork, and products to a group of token holders organized around genre, location, brand, or theme
3. Free Music
   1. Exiting Copyright: A platform that allows artists to release music under CC0

But yeah, let's use this as an open forum for ideation. The idea would be that we could then set challenges in the for of hack ideas, and then seed with bounties.
