Developing a well behaved custom component

Let's say I needed to design a custom component and I wanted to make sure it integrated well with the components provided by PrimeVue. Is there a guide or documentation on that?

I would want to make sure it shared the same look and feel, provided the same set of features (theming / styling, accessibility, i18n, etc.), etc.

Any thoughts or advice on this topic would be appreciated.
