do I need pg_cron?

I'm new to supabase and in DB in general. I'm about to finish a personal project where people can buy or sell used software licenses. When someone "buys" a product, while the buyer is sending the payment to the owner, I want the product to be in a "hold" state where if the buyer don't send the payment to the seller within 1hr it will automatically change its status to available again. If the product is in hold, that's what it's going to show instead of its price, in both the product and products page.

I was thinking about, the user visiting the product's page and consulting its state, if it's in hold, check how much time is left, or something like this, I'm still thinking about the downsides of this.

any suggestion?
