The conference we hosted for NYC Open Data Week, Powering Potential event and ,3-D modeling demo by our very own Veena!
What is/are the project(s) your Club worked on
The website to support the club(https://bugs-nyu.github.io/), 2D game, groups that lead engagement with learning how to use open source tools, and YACS (collaborating with RCOS)
What was the most challenging issue that your Club had to deal with
Structure, how to retain members, how to balance having an open community with maintaining quality and accountability, and attracting members isn’t as difficult as keeping them accountable.
As the Club's leadership, what would be something that you would like to stop doing?
Since we have only been around a year, we don't have anything we would like to stop doing.
As the Club's leadership, what would be something that you would like to start doing?
Contributing to larger projects that span the globe, provide a platform for people to share personal open source projects and meet like minded people interested in their ideas, and host more technically oriented workshops
As the Club's leadership, what would be something that you would like to continue doing?
Bringing in new members and helping them engage with the computing and open source community in NYC, and hosting lesser known but more impactful speakers like Powering Potential.
Please something that you would like to share with the Open Source Student Network
