Before leaving, Lars said, "There are just four datasets that still use Walden." He was right—only a few (non-archived) Walden steps remain, and now might be the perfect time to migrate them to snapshots and remove Walden from ETL.

We decided to let it die slowly two years ago, and now could be the right moment to finish the job!
