QualiAnon doesn't react #25
Comments
I am not quite sure what you mean with "uploading". I guess, that it happens when importing interviews or opening a project with many documents. It is quite slow importing and opening documents, and there is no progress indicator, yet. If this is the case, I would recommend giving Qualianon more time to import/open. This case looks like it freezes, but in my experience, this is not the case, it is working in the background. You can also verify this: in the task-manager you should see that it consums CPU resources in this state. Frozen apps usually do not consume the CPU, but are non-responsive anyways. |
Thank you for the fast response! Yes indeed, with "uploading" I meant the import of documents. Unfortunately, the freezing does not occur while opening Qualianon or importing documents. It happens while I'm working, usually right after I assigned new replacements. Once QualiAnon freezes, the CPU is at 0% - sometimes going back up a little bit but overall the program is non-responsive and has to be closed using the Task-Manager. I already checked my Java-Version, which is up-to-date and my Laptop is fairly new as well. Could the solution maybe be working with multiple Qualianon Projects simultaneously, so that there are less imported documents per project? |
In the latest release v1.2.3, I added a few things, that could improve this situation. |
Is there a max. amount of data that should be uploaded? I keep running into the problem of "app-freezing" - thus having to use Task-Manager to exit the application and loosing work progress.
