As documents are not indexed if OCR is switched off, there should be a possibility to (re)index all documents within PaperMerge or a switch to index imported documents even if OCR is disabled.

Initial plan was by mid November.
But the code changes took more time than I expected. I think the code will be ready to use by end of this month (November 2024).
The big feature introduced is: custom fields (metadata) - and the feature implementation is little bit more complicated than I imagined.

Anyway, to answer you question: end of November 2024.

If possible, I'd love to test a new docker image with this feature before Christmas '24 :)
