in 925de87 support for downloading promtail to the local controller was added. The install.yml is however always imported with become: true, so that the local download requires sudo access.

ansible-role-promtail/tasks/main.yml

Lines 7 to 8 in 6c3c60c

- import_tasks: install.yml
become: True

Would it be possible to remove that elevation?
