I'm not sure how this started to happen, and it definitely didn't happen the very first time I launched HawkFX, but I am getting double buttons now every time I run it. Not sure what I can give to help debug it.

This is caused by jruby/jruby#3366
when the FXMLoader loads in the generated ruby equivalent of the FXML
UI-definition files.
One could always remove assets/.jrubyfx_cache before starting
to work around
I reported that as jruby/jrubyfx#100 on
JRubyFX
