Community Code of Conduct

Our Promise

We, as members, contributors, and leaders, pledge to make our community a safe and welcoming place for everyone. We commit to treating everyone with respect and kindness, regardless of age, body size, disability, ethnicity, gender identity, experience level, nationality, race, religion, or sexual orientation.

Our Principles

To create a positive environment, we strive to:

• Show empathy and kindness to others.
• Respect different opinions and experiences.
• Give and accept constructive feedback.
• Own our mistakes, apologize, and learn from them.
• Prioritize the well-being of the community.

Unacceptable behaviors include:

• Using sexualized language or imagery.
• Making insulting or derogatory comments.
• Engaging in personal or political attacks.
• Harassing others in any form.
• Sharing someone's private information without permission.
• Acting in a way that is inappropriate in a professional setting.

Enforcement

Community leaders are responsible for enforcing these standards and will take fair and appropriate action in response to any unacceptable behavior. This includes removing, editing, or rejecting contributions that violate our code of conduct and explaining moderation decisions when needed.

Scope

This code of conduct applies to all community spaces and when individuals are representing the community in public. This includes using official email addresses, social media accounts, or acting as a representative at events.

Reporting Issues

If you encounter unacceptable behavior, report it to the community leaders at [email protected]. All complaints will be reviewed and investigated promptly and fairly, and the privacy of reporters will be respected.

Consequences

Community leaders will follow these steps for enforcement:

1. Correction

   • Impact: Minor inappropriate behavior.
   • Consequence: A private warning and explanation of why the behavior was inappropriate. A public apology may be requested.

2. Warning

   • Impact: A single incident or series of inappropriate actions.
   • Consequence: A warning with specified consequences for continued behavior. No interaction with involved parties for a set period. Further violations may lead to a temporary or permanent ban.

3. Temporary Ban

   • Impact: Serious or repeated inappropriate behavior
   • Consequence : A temporary ban from community interactions. Violating the terms may lead to a permanent ban.

4. Permanent Ban

   • Impact: Persistent inappropriate behavior or severe harassment.
   • Consequence : A permanent ban from all community interactions.
