Excluding Parts by Prefix Doesn't Work?

I am trying to use this script and having trouble.

My schematic has a number of test points with names like TP_GND, TP_UDRX1, etc. as well as a number of ordinary caps and resistors.

When I run this, it seems to properly renumber all the C[number] and R[number] parts. I asked it to exclude TP*, or TP, but this doesn't seem to work; it still gives all my test points new names like TP1, TP2, etc. which is not what I want.

I'll attach a schematic that demonstrates the problem; if I try to renumber parts and exclude parts starting with TP, either specifying TP or TP*, it goes ahead and renumbers those parts, too.
