@petrelharp says:

Hi, folks - thinking ahead to the author list on the next paper, I think it'd make sense to include Ben Haller (in the middle, naturally), as he's put in a bunch of work that we're making use of in response to queries/requests that we've made (log files, dictionaries, metadata). It's not clear-cut: normally we'd look at commits to the popsim-consortium repository and people who come and contribute at meetings, but I think the development Ben has done over in his repository counts, too? This is probably a topic for later (when we make the author list), but I want to remember it.

When you say "non-exhaustive": what did you do to get that list? (i.e., where else do we need to look?)

I looked at all contributors to this repo and to the main stdpopsim repo (after June 2022). I also look at attendance to stdpopsim meetings, but just going back to July 2023.

That sounds pretty exhaustive...

Note there's been some more contributions to stdpopsim since this list has been made - Gregor Gorjanc for instance.

I looked over recent PRs to the repo with

paste <(git log | grep Author) <(git log | grep Date) | head -n 105 | awk '{print $2 " " $3}' | sort -u

Then checked their most recent PRs with

git log -n2 --author="<name>"

Here's a list of folks that aren't yet listed as authors that seem like they should be

Ben Jeffery
Christian Huber
Gregor Gorjanc
Jiseon Min
Yan Wong
Yu Zhang
peterdfields

Can folks help to confirm that may have been involved in merging these PRs?

@silastittes I guess it should be Peter D. Fields?

I'm not sure what your question is, @silastittes? Did you look at the PRs on github, or just commits in the git history?
