When there is a pause in the music, ex. a 10 second pause, have a toggle to switch to measures of rest?

Could there be a way for a measures of rest system be implemented in place of the seconds countdown.
How it works right now: when a song comes to a portion where there is nothing to do but wait, a timer appears with the amount of seconds until notes appear again. A similar thing is present when pausing in osu!mania where is has a 3 second countdown until it starts back up.

What I am requesting is that in place of a # seconds timer until playing, it is instead a # bars of rest with it counting on the screen | 1 2 3 4 | 2 2 3 4 | and so on. This would be a toggle in the settings because people may prefer the seconds timer over bars of rest.
