Personally I find the field usefully, I just don't like having to fill it out twice. I'd be curious what other users think. Do you think a survey would help.

I'm not an SEO expert by any means, but "more links is good" is the general mantra. In the post-AI search world, structured data is even better.

Easiest fix would be to change the help text to require http or https
