JavaScript error when loading the home page

When loading the home page there is JavaScript error displayed in the browser's console. The error varies a bit between Chrome, FireFox, and Safari but it's basically the same: we are accessing an unknown variable in the dashboardTabs.js

We noticed this error in staging and production.

@gnemade51 noticed that this error causes the page not to render properly when using the Arc browser (see screenshot below).
