Hi! A request to add an option to post updates (timer decrements) as a new message instead of editing the existing message. The use case is in a roleplaying game where the original message may quickly get pushed off the top of the screen by users' messages.

This feature has been discussed before in the support server, and the verdict is that this might end up generating a lot of spam.

For now, I'm marking this issue as "wontfix", but I may revisit this in the future.

It might do, but surely that's up to the server and person triggering the countdown? If it's an option (off by default) then no behaviour needs to change? Not sure I see your reasoning here. I'll leave this issue for you to resolve how you see fit.

For long running countdowns, like >30d etc. It might be nice to have an option to configure Countdowns that we have given an identifier, so that we could e.g. send it to the channel every hour/day/minute etc. depending on how fast it gets lost.
