Hi @rafale77

I’m looking to run this on the weekend (time permitting) but when you think about what’s under the hood, I was wondering what else can be done to not only further clean/clear it out, but also how else could I repurpose my old Vera?

  • Could there be a way to repurpose it back to it’s base openWRT build ?
  • Can something be done with the bluetooth (e.g a scanner via bluetoothctl) ?
  • Can I use it as a CIFS/SMB share ?
  • There looks to be a USB3 connector on the Vera Secure board (scope for that) ?
  • Is there a way to add the nuked Vera as an extender or perhaps a bridge for another Vera ?

If you look at the posts online for old wifi routers
