We have a so far undocumented feature to enable sudo authentication via Touch ID or Apple Watch:
$ launchctl setenv RD_SUDO_PROMPT_OSASCRIPT 1
I know it used to work before (possibly on Intel with Monterey, currently testing with ARM on Sequoia), but testing with 1.17.0 RC does not allow me to authenticate with my watch:
Pressing the "Cancel" button throws an error (it works correctly with the regular password prompt):
