I am using rocky linux 8.6, It is still in the supported cycle.
The glibc carried by this linux is version 2.28.
There are a lot of slightly older linx systems that are not version 2.34, and a lot of service providers with low configuration servers do not offer very new linux distributions. I think this is something to consider
