How can we set an Icon as well as color of the sphere?

We have the ability to set a sphere as well as an Icon. That is really great! However, are we able to additionally set the color of the sphere? The fill property of the node does not seem to work. Also, are we able to set the size of the icon in relation to the sphere?

The documentation is not quite clear, but the custom render code seems to look something like this:
