We already have multiple shipped silicon implementations of 0.x versions. I'm concerned that people are going to implicitly or explicitly assume that semver logic applies and 1.x is the start of backward compatibility, when in actuality anyone who wants compatibility and long-term upstream support needs to wait for ratification.
