Using tu56 on the PiDP-8
************************
You need to run full Raspbian, not Raspbian lite, to display tu56 on the screen.
Use the PDP-8 DECtape driver:
cd
cd Tu56/simh/pdp8_dectape_driver
chmod +x install
./install
Building a new version of SimH with install will take a while, especially on slower Raspberry Pi
models. The new DT driver generates a status byte in /tmp/tu56status, which can be used by tu56.
Instructions for using DECtape provided by Warren Young:
MOUNTING a DECtape image
ctrl-e
Simulation stopped, PC: 01210 (JMP 1207)
sim> att dt media/os8/al-4691c-sa-os8-v3d-1.1978.tu56
DT0: 12b format, buffering file in memory
sim> c
DIR DTA0:
BOOTING FROM DECtape
To reboot the PiDP-8 to DECtape:
set IF field to octal 3
then toggle Sing_Step, then set IF switches back to 0
