Could the render_connect_email and suppress_scheduled_email functions support Quarto?

Hi,

We are looking at the possibility of migrating from Rmarkdown to Quarto, however we have a question if it is possible to use the render_connect_email and suppress_scheduled_email functions? We have been looking and Quarto offers this functionality https://quarto.org/docs/prerelease/1.4/email.html but we understand that it does not work in the same way that bastula does.
