There are currently 5 thousand bugs and they are not being fixed. Other devs that I know mentioning issues in commits and focusing on fixing them. Maybe ruffle is still this early in development but I think this would be useful.

Hi, issues are constantly being fixed, I don't know how did you get the idea they are not. A large number of open issues doesn't mean the project is in early development, you shouldn't really focus on the number of issues to asses the completeness or infer a development stage.

Hi, issues are constantly being fixed, I don't know how did you get the idea they are not. A large number of open issues doesn't mean the project is in early development, you shouldn't really focus on the number of issues to asses the completeness or infer a development stage.

  1. Most of the issues I see being closed, closed as duplicates of other issues, unfortunately.
  2. I myself created the issue 4 months ago that wasn't solved. 4 months is not that much, but this is concerning for me. I believe the site may cease to exist before a bug fix will be provided for it, because this is just a random site on the internet that I loved as a child. Would be really loveable if you solve this someday.
  3. I just see this as a good practice to let people know what issues were fixed with each commit. Every time I see a fixed issue in a commit of a dev of my favorite program, just like on the screen, it makes me happy, especially if MY issue was fixed. So I really think it would be a good thing to focus on fixing bugs and providing issues that were solved in commits. Of course, I'm just voicing an opinion.

With that being said, thank you very much for a response, I hope ruffle will stay strong.

Most of the issues I see being closed, closed as duplicates of other issues, unfortunately.

That is not a good statistic to infer anything. We get a lot of error reports which are generated automatically, that's also why we have such large volume of issues, currently 2600 of them are error reports.

I myself created the issue 4 months ago that wasn't solved. 4 months is not that much, but this is concerning for me. I believe the site may cease to exist before a bug fix will be provided for it, because this is just a random site on the internet that I loved as a child. Would be really loveable if you solve this someday.

Some issues get fixed after a day, some get fixed after several years. That depends on the bug, reproduction steps, the content, and the willingness of developers to fix it.

I just see this as a good practice to let people know what issues were fixed with each commit. Every time I see a fixed issue in a commit of a dev of my favorite program, just like on the screen, it makes me happy, especially if MY issue was fixed.

Issues get mentioned and closed on a per-PR basis, not in commits. When you go to pull requests, you'll see the number of issues fixed per PR.

So I really think it would be a good thing to focus on fixing bugs and providing issues that were solved in commits. Of course, I'm just voicing an opinion.

Note that we are volunteers and there are only so many of us.

Bug fixes are happening, there's just not nearly enough developer-hours to investigate and fix every bug. We try to eventually get to them though. And I'm looking into ways to track important/unique issues like yours so fewer are forgotten about.

A few months ago I tested my application with Ruffle on the web and it did not work. Everything related to TextFields did not work so I thought Ruffle was focusing on games, not applications.

This week I tested it again and I'm amazed that everything is working properly. Wow! I can't believe my eyes. Although the loading time is too long but I'm happy to wait for a better Ruffle.

Maybe I'm lucky, and you're not lucky. That's all. Ruffle team is doing their best, I believe.

I'm building a framework for making applications using Adobe Air for years. And I'm working on supporting Ruffle target. I hope that I can release it this year.

By the way, I've requested a new language on Crowdin. I want to contribute a translation. @kjarosh, can you take a look at my request?

Thank u!

@kjarosh Done!

Can't understand why the progress is 99% though I've 100% completed it.

"Grant Ruffle permission to access my data on all sites" - I think this text can be misleading. Someone may think that Ruffle wants to access their personal data. "Grant Ruffle permission to access websites' data on all sites" or something similar could be better. This version clearly states that Ruffle is accessing website data, not personal data, which helps to avoid any confusion.

Thanks!

Thank you @ylazy, we appreciate the contribution! (It's 99% because you missed scale-mode-showall from settings.ftl)
