there seems to be a shortage of LEDs present on the board.

i think D43 mega, PB7 - is connected to an LED, that's controllable... it's marked for "reset control", which means the shield may be holding that high or low, but it should be disconnectable. typically a jumper or bridge of some sort.

PB7 - blue led for now.
