JS String array to Rust

Hi,

I was wondering if it's possible to handle a JS String array without using something like JSValue and serde.
Right now to do this, I have to make them objects and sort them.
I would like to move from this

#[wasm_bindgen]
pub fn sort_array(js_objects: &JsValue) -> JsValue  {
    let mut elements: Vec<Element> = js_objects.into_serde().unwrap();
    elements.sort_by(|a, b| a.id.to_lowercase().cmp(&b.id.to_lowercase()));
    JsValue::from_serde(&elements).unwrap()
}

to

#[wasm_bindgen]
pub fn sort_array(array: Vec<&str>) -> Vec<&str> {
    //Do some array sort
    //array.sort();
    return array
}

Is this possible?
