Thank you very much for providing this good plug-in. I want to export its highlighting text while exporting comments. My idea is to add more fields to the comment table to store the highlighting text while adding highlighting text comments. But I checked the source code and could not find the way to get the highlighting text.Can you give me some help?Thanks

Hi,
this is probably not so easy. For all annotations including the highlight, only the position as x- and y-coordinate is saved. And the annotations are displayed in a separate "annotationLayer" on top of the pdf-document. So I don't think there's a direct connection between the highlight and the underlying text.
Unfortunately I don't know how exactly it works but the annotations are created in the index.js which uses the pdfjs-library. Both you can find in the shared-folder. Maybe you can find something there

We have the same problem and can only echo the request.

We use the tool for assignments and a data output that combines commentary and text would greatly support the correction and documentation process.
