@ryanwelcher It seems that Gutenberg is gradually converting over to TypeScript as described here. I'm not that familiar with TS yet but it would be great to be able to play around with it while developing blocks.

As mentioned in the above Make article the @wordpress/create-block package doesn't support TS in the default template yet but could this be enabled in a custom template? And what else would be needed to get up and running using TS in block development etc?

I think this would make a fantastic subject to cover in one of your videos. :)

@dgwyer this is a great suggestion! I've been wanting an excuse to play around with TypeScript so now I have one!

Thanks! I'm only just learning more about TS myself but it's definitely the way forward. Makes JS so much more manageable. :)
