Description
We discussed the names of all the submission templates and library types in a meeting with Abby & Liz.
The cDNA Prep submission template is currently called Limber-Htp - scRNA Core cDNA Prep. All samples will currently use the GEM-X 5p route, however in future more variants might be available e.g. HT chip, or 3p chemistry.
The submission currently accepts a library type, which includes the 'GEM-X 5p' information.
We would like to get rid of the library type at this step, because:
a) We are not making libraries here, just cDNA. Libraries are made later.
b) This stage and the library prep stage were both originally using a library type called Chromium single cell 5 prime GEM-X. We updated this name for the library prep stage to include GE for gene expression - because it was implied anyway - it's needed to distinguish from potential future 'TCR' and 'BCR' variants.
However, if we get rid of the library type, we'll have to include that 'GEM-X 5p' information in the submission template / request type instead, so Limber knows which route it's going down.
Who are the primary contacts for this story
Katy, Andrew, Abby, Liz H
Who is the nominated tester for UAT
Abby (R&D), Liz H (SSR)
Acceptance criteria
To be considered successful the solution must allow:
cDNA Prep submission template / pipeline does not expect a library type
cDNA Prep submission template is called Limber-Htp - scRNA Core cDNA Prep GEM-X 5p
Request type is changed accordingly
