section on "R in production" #5

Thanks, and I like this idea a lot! Not sure exactly what should go in it or where it should go at the moment though - let me have a think about it... |
OK!
AFAIK there is no coherent resource for this yet, so I would start digging when you've decided how it fits best.

I would find it very useful too. I often in my day job has to guide some non R coworker toward the R ecosystem. Currently, I am the only one in my team to know it and having to create R solution for DataScientist in my company, I also must explain to management. Very useful guide, thanks! As working as support for R project in my company toward R in production, if you want to share experience or if I can help in any sort for this guide, please let me know. |
This discussion on Shiny might be worth linking to or extract some information from: https://community.rstudio.com/t/discussion-when-is-shiny-a-good-choice-vs-when-is-it-not-the-right-tool-for-the-job/707 |
@sellorm Great resource you created here!
Do you see a place for an "R in production" section? It might be interesting to "manager" types of people to learn where and how (e.g. mention Shiny+Rocker images) R is used in productive environments.
